Remember not that long ago, when Show starred a perky blonde skater? The one we miss every time we watch those AWZ credits? (Seriously, Show, time to update already!) Yes, that’s right: Diana Sommer, who even though she’s in Halle is still our favourite to win the 2010 Olympics. (Sorry, Jennifer.)
The German gay mag DU&ICH published a short article (written by our favourite PR guru) about Dennis & Igor, future DeRo developments, and the 2010 Gays of our Lives meeting in NY. Even if none of that interests you (in which case, what the hell are you doing here??), go and ogle the pretty pictures (warning: the second one may give you an uncontrollable urge to pick up smoking).

Yes, we’re being dragged kicking and screaming into the 21st century. This isn’t our preferred forum (Hallo! Technophobes! And really, 140 characters? Have they *seen* all we have to say?) but we thought it’d be a good way for you busy folks to know when we post (or don’t post) episodes. Just don’t expect us to be interactive or anything like that. Think of this more like the Tower Bridge announcements. With fewer boats passing.

Wow, only a year old? It seems like you’ve been our home for much, much longer! Apart from eating a good portion of our lives for the past year, you’ve also provided us with a truly mind-boggling amount of joy, hair-tearing insanity, and fantastic inspiration. It’s hard to believe what obstacles you’ve mastered and how far you’ve come!
Above all else, what we adore most about this place (well, apart from crazy Show *g*) are the viewers and commenters who’ve made it what it is: a true community, an insanely fun place to hang out, a place with personality, and a kind of home. Noserubs to each and every one of you who’ve shared this story with us, who’ve supported us through thick and thin (not to mention the Dark Years), and who’ve added so much glitter to our world with your unique, thoughtful, and sparkly comments. Thank you all, so much. You make EKP special!
Oh yeah, and in our odd tradition of random serendipity, 22 November also happens to be the birthday of an incredibly talented, vibrant and lovely young man

And as if all that wasn’t enough fabulousness, Shychic gave us the most wonderful birthday present ever! Behold the awesome!
Now, who’s first in line for prosecco, birthday cake, and spankings?
So! As you may have heard, we went to fictional Essen a few weeks ago. And then we babbled about it, once… or twice… or a million times (like here). Yet that wasn’t enough for some of you, who’ve been demanding meekly inquiring after the possible availability of pictorial evidence.
We live to please. Or maybe we’re just camera-loving posers like Deniz….
They say when life gives you lemons, you make lemonade.
When we got home to find our source files were unsnaggable, it felt like we’d been handed a bucket of the sourest lemons imaginable. But you people took them and turned them into delicious triple-strong tropical cocktails. Not only that, but you dragged us over to the couch, wrapped us in the cuddly pink blanket, and pulled out the tub of mocha-pistachio-chocolate-mint-chip spaghetti ice cream. And you even remembered to bring the biggest spoons in the universe!
This is why we keep doing this. Because of folks like Martina, who spent her entire weekend hunting down a video capturing program that is SO MUCH BETTER OMG than the one we were using. Thanks to her, you’ll be getting vids in much better quality from here on out. Feel free to shower her with love letters, hallowed adoration, and naughty propositions — but get in line behind us!! And there are others, folks like Vlad, who reminded us that communities help each other and offered up his technical expertise from the start. And Christine and Maya, who’ve made suggestions and helped us make connections. And everybody else who has offered help and sympathy and most of all patience as we refused to let a little thing like not having video clips stop us.
So thank you, all of you, for not just sitting back and consuming this story, but for investing in it emotionally, for engaging with it in the comments, and for talking about it with your new AWZ buddies. And most of all, for caring that we continue bringing Deniz and Roman to you like this. WE LOVE YOU GUYS SO DAMN MUCH! GROUP HUG!!!
We’re back!
We’ve ridden a trail of glitter and fairy dust to Fictional Essen and Back. That’s right – when we said the barkeep at No.7 was serving us empty coffee cups and baklava, WE WEREN’T KIDDING. We spent four days at the studio, personally delivering cookies to everyone from the Costume department to the writing team, and meeting the cast and crew that rock our world. Or this may just be a mass delusion and we’ve hallucinated up all these details. At this point, we’re really not sure.
But let’s start at the beginning, shall we? (Or if you don’t care about the trip report, and just want to know when new episodes will be posted, skip directly to the end.)

This recent bounty of press is totally spoiling us! This week, Soap Opera Weekly talks to Dennis, Igor, and writer Christoph Schlewinski about what’s coming up in DeRo 2.0. Special bonus: Not only is it a great read, but it’s in English, so no extra work for us! We need more like this!
If you’re spoiler-phobic, beware: There’s some mention of upcoming storylines … and angst, and drama, and romance, and screwball dialogue — all the things that make us go squee!!

Dennis and Igor recently did an interview for the German IN magazine. Not only are they charming and witty as usual (and not only does Igor address the seriously old, seriously stupid “what’s it like kissing a man” question with grace and aplomb), but there’s also some interesting tidbits about Igor’s heritage & family, Dennis & Brent’s thoughts on adoption, and both of the guys’ acting backgrounds.
